A Finalist in the Henry Jones Art Prize
Earlier this year, The Things She Carried was selected as a finalist in the Henry Jones Art Prize, an honour I’m incredibly grateful for. Standing alongside such a high calibre of Tasmanian and Australian artists made the experience truly special. This painting holds so much of my story, and seeing it recognised in such a way felt deeply validating.

During the exhibition at The Henry Jones Art Hotel, a collector connected with the painting’s message and purchased the original work. Knowing that the emotions behind this piece resonated with someone else — and that she found a home where her story is appreciated — was the perfect conclusion to her journey as an original.
