The perspective is of being immersed beneath the lily pads so you can see the underside of the leaves and the transparent nature of the sunlight showing through.
I love metallic gold so I added some gold splashes of colour to add some shimmer to the piece which will reflect the light and give it a lovely sparkly effect.
