This is a reproduction print from my original oil painting. Part of my “Halo” series showing a beautiful young woman set within stunning Autumn leaves, my favourite time of year.
One of my favourite artists is Gustav Klimt, especially his ‘gold’ phase. I also really love Alphonse Mucha and the Art Nouveau period. I decided to combine these two styles and create a series of paintings using a gold ‘halo’ effect to highlight the female face in all its beauty. The metallic gold of the halo shimmers in different light and gives the painting a beautiful glow.
