Made of Many Summers continues my exploration of women, memory, and the experiences that shape who we become. The figure stands in a golden field, wrapped in a patchwork garment made from layered patterns and textures, symbolising the many seasons of life we carry with us. Each fragment represents moments gathered over time — memories, challenges, growth, and quiet resilience.
I combined oil paint with collage to create a surface that feels built over time, echoing the way our lives are formed through experience. The warm landscape and flowing hair suggest movement, strength, and a sense of standing firmly in the present while holding the past close.
Much of my work is inspired by the connection between women and the natural world, using landscape and symbolic elements to explore themes of endurance, transformation, and beauty shaped by time.
